Firmware Version 22.214.171.124.00 incorporates the following enhancements. 1. Support for the color matrix function has been added. 2. Support for the color correction function has been added. 3. The following features are enabled for these lenses: For CN-E18-80mm T4.4 L IS KAS S or CN-E70-200mm T4.4 L IS KAS S when "NU Protocol" is selected: - Focus position control - Zoom position control Menu Pathway: [Other Functions] > [REMOTE B Term.] > [NU Protocol] *In some cases, the firmware of these lenses needs to be updated in order to enable the enhancements. Contact your Canon dealer for details.
- For further information, please refer to the latest version of the unit's Instruction Manual that is released with the firmware update.
Caution: - Firmware Version 126.96.36.199.00 is for ME20F-SH cameras with Firmware Version 188.8.131.52.00 – 184.108.40.206.00. If your camera's firmware is already Version 220.127.116.11.00, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Once the camera is updated to the latest version, it cannot be restored to a previous version.
Preparations for the Firmware Update: - After the firmware update has been performed, the date/time settings and the camera's menu settings will be reset. Please configure the date/time settings and the camera's menu settings to their pre-update values after the firmware update is complete.
- The downloaded folder contains the firmware (file name: VLF5.FIM / file size: 22,872,092 bytes), and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in four languages: Japanese, English, French and Spanish). Before starting the firmware update operations, please be sure to carefully confirm your understanding of these instructions.
The following things are required to perform this firmware update: 1. A ME20F-SH Multipurpose Camera 2. A computer (OS: Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 SP1) 3. A microSD / microSDHC / microSDXC card (all commercially available) 4. A microSD card reader/writer (commercially available) 5. External power supply (commercially available) 6. The firmware (the downloaded file)

Creates a linear relationship between the luminance input and output. 2. The following features are enabled for the CN-E70-200mm T4.4 L IS KAS S: - Displaying the model name of the lens when attached. - Support for Peripheral illumination correction. - Manual control of the iris with camera's joystick. - Control of focus, zoom and iris using the separately-sold Remote Controller RC-V100. - Support for One shot autofocus. - Automatic aperture and push auto iris functions. - Start/stop recording on the separately-sold lens grip ZSG-C10. 3. When the camera is turned off the IS mechanical lock will be active regardless of the position of the switch.

Shutter speed, Gain and ND Filter* are set automatically. - AGC: Shutter speed and Iris are selectable. Gain and ND Filter* are set automatically. *ND Filter can alsobe set manually. 2. The following features are enabled for the CN-E18-80mm and T4.4 L IS KAS S: - Saving and displaying metadata, such as the model name and the focal distance of the lens when attached. - Support for Peripheral Illumination Correction. - Manual Iris control via the camera's joystick. - Control of focus, zoom and iris using the separately-sold Remote Controller RC-V100. - One shot autofocus. - Automatic aperture and push auto iris functions. - Operation of REC start/stop by the separately-sold ZSG-C10. 3. Adds Peripheral Illumination Correction for the following lenses: - EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM - EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM - EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM 4. Adds chroma-key correction function. 5. Adds three white balance modes when the camera is set to Auto: custom White Balance Set, Preset and Color temperature. 6. Adds 25PsF on output format. 7. Adds [59.94P(i)]* and [50.00P(i)]* output setting for Monitor terminal. • When the frame rate is set to 59.94P (NTSC) or 50.00P (PAL), the 3G/HD-SDI 1 / MONITOR terminal can be set to output interlaced signal. * When using this setting 3G/HD-SDI 2 will output progressive signal.

Adds 3x magnification to the digital tele-converter. 3. Adds aspect marker options. - Aspect ratio can be selected from 4:3, 4:3 (S35mm), 1.66:1, 1.85:1 and 2.39:1 4. Adds an auto slow shutter ON/OFF function. - When set to [OFF] and the camera is set to [Auto] mode, the shutter speed will not drop below the set frame rate.
Changes in Firmware Version 188.8.131.52.00: Corrects a phenomenon in which after long hours of consecutive power conduction, the power of the camera cannot be turned off from the main power switch or the camera cannot be initialized from the menu. (After the power source is detached and attached, camera operations are restored.)
