The camera does not focus when shooting subjects up close (PowerShot G3 X)

Solution

The camera’s minimum shooting range is shown below:*

-Telephoto (): 85 cm (2.8 ft.)

-Wide angle (): 5 cm (2.0 in.)

When shooting subjects at short distances, using a wide angle setting is recommended.
As camera shake is more likely to occur when shooting subjects at shorter distances, please try mounting the camera on a tripod or taking other measures to keep it still.

*The minimum shooting range differs depending on the shooting mode. For more information on the minimum distance in individual shooting modes, please refer to the table below.
