Concerning the Mirrorless Camera EOS R50 (black model only), the following potential issue has been confirmed. Details and our customer support measures are described below.

Issue
Concerning the Mirrorless Camera EOS R50 (Black model only), a small number of units may be affected by an issue in which the mode dial may become stiff and difficult to operate, or it may break and detach from the camera.
Affected Product
Mirrorless Camera “EOS R50 (Black)” (Please note that this issue does not apply to the white model of the EOS R50.)
Units that experience the above described issue and have serial numbers (indicated on the bottom of the camera) whose first two digits are between “19” and “23” are within the scope of the affected units.
Support
For any unit that is within the scope of the affected units and experiences this issue, Canon will inspect/repair the unit free of charge. However, please note that any inspection/repair services other than for the specific issue described above will be subject to applicable service fees, unless otherwise covered under warranty.
Period of Accepting Free Repairs
Until July 31, 2028
