ME20F-SH Firmware Update version 1.0.4.1 00

Changes:

This firmware update (Version 1.0.4.1 00) incorporates the following enhancements.

1.Adds [Linear]* to the gamma curve setting:
-[Custom Picture] > [Fine Tuning] > [Gamma] > [Linear]
    *Does not apply a gamma curve. Creates a linear relationship between the luminance input and output. 

2.The following features are enabled for the CN-E70-200mm T4.4 L IS KAS S:
-Displaying the model name of the lens when attached.
-Support for Peripheral illumination correction.
-Manual control of the iris with camera’s joystick.
-Control of focus, zoom and iris using the separately-sold Remote Controller RC-V100.
-Support for One shot autofocus.
-Automatic aperture and push auto iris functions.
-Start/stop recording on the separately-sold lens grip ZSG-C10.

3.Adds Peripheral Illumination Correction for the following lenses:
-EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM
-EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM
-EF-S 35mm f/2.8 Macro IS STM
-EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM

4.Adds [NU protocol] to the other functions setting:
- [Other Functions] > [REMOTE B Term.] > [NU Protocol]

5.When the camera is turned off the IS mechanical lock will be active regardless of the position of the switch.

Notes:
Firmware Version 1.0.4.1.00 is for ME20F-SH cameras with Firmware Version 1.0.0.1.00 – 1.0.3.1.00. If your camera’s firmware is already Version 1.0.4.1.00, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Once the camera is updated to the latest version, it cannot be restored to a previous version.

For further information, please refer to the latest version of the unit’s Instruction Manual that is released with the firmware update. 

Preparations for a firmware update:
After the firmware update has been performed, the date/time settings and the camera’s menu settings will be reset. Please configure the date/time settings and the camera’s menu settings to their pre-update values after the firmware update is complete. The downloaded folder contains the firmware (file name: VLF4.FIM / file size: 22,741,020 bytes), and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish and Simplified Chinese). Before starting the firmware update operations, please be sure to carefully confirm your understanding of these instructions.

The following items are required to perform this firmware update: 
1.A ME20F-SH Multipurpose Camera
2.A computer (OS: Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 SP1, or Mac OS 10.7 - 10.13)
3.A microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC card (all commercially available)
4.A microSD card reader/writer (commercially available)
5.External power supply (commercially available)
6.The firmware (the downloaded file from Canon website. See link below)
