EOS 200D Mark II Firmware Update, Version 1.0.3

27th May 2021

Firmware changes:

Firmware Version 1.0.3 incorporates the following fixes.

1. Fixes a phenomenon in which the camera model name “EOS 200D II” is incorrectly displayed in the image information for the software applications.
2. Fixes a phenomenon in which some units of EOS 200D II cannot be connected to the Mac version of EOS Utility.

Note: Firmware Version 1.0.3 is for the EOS 200D II, and users of the EOS Rebel SL3/EOS 250D do not need to update the firmware.

The Version 1.0.3 firmware being released this time is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.0.2. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.0.3, it is not necessary to update the firmware. When updating the firmware of your camera, please first go over the instructions thoroughly before you download the firmware.

Preparations for the Firmware Update:
In the folder you downloaded are the firmware (file name: XXXXX.FIR/file size: XX,XXX,XXX bytes), and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese). Before starting the firmware update operations, please be sure to carefully confirm your understanding of these instructions.
