Firmware update 1.0.7.1 00 incorporates the following;

This firmware update (Version 1.0.7.1 00) incorporates the following improvements.

Changes:

* EOS C500 only

1. Enables control of CINE-SERVO lenses using the RC-V100 remote controller.

2. Enables peripheral illumination correction for the following lenses:

EF lenses:
- EF16-35mm f/4L IS USM

- EF-S10-18mm f/4-5.6 IS STM

- EF400mm f/4L DO IS II USM

- EF11-24mm f/4L USM

- EF24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM

- EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM

- EF-S24mm f/2.8 STM

CINE-SERVO lens:
- CN7×17 KAS S/E1

3. When one of the following EF lenses is attached and power is turned off, the lens automatically retracts to its minimum length:

- EF40mm f/2.8 STM

- EF-S24mm f/2.8 STM

- EF50mm f/1.8 STM

Firmware Version 1.0.7.1.00 is for EOS C500 cameras with Firmware Version 1.0.6.1.00 or earlier. If your camera’s firmware is already version 1.0.7.1.00, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Once the camera is updated to the latest firmware version, it cannot be restored to a previous version.
