What is Exposure Compensation?
The Basics:
Exposure Compensation is an in-camera tool that allows you to make your images lighter or darker with ease. Most modern cameras will have an Exposure Compensation button (marked with a “+/-” icon) that enables you to instantly go up or down a certain number of stops, overriding the camera’s chosen exposure settings and increasing or decreasing the exposure of an image based on your personal preferences.
