Printing with the Date (SELPHY CP1200)

Solution

Add camera shooting dates when you print.

Caution

When printing from a memory card or a USB flash drive (sold separately), make sure that the camera or the computer is not connected.
For memory cards that require an adapter, always insert the card into the adapter before inserting the adapter into the card slot. If you mistakenly insert the memory card into the card slot without an adapter, you may not be able to remove the card from the printer.
For instructions, refer to the memory card or adapter user manual.
Use a memory card formatted with the device you shot the photos with. Images on cards formatted with a computer may not be recognized.
Images may not be displayed or printed correctly depending on their size or if they have been edited on a computer.
Images may not be displayed or printed correctly depending on their size or if they have been taken with a cell phone.
JPEG images conforming to the Exif standard can be printed with this printer.
When printing from a computer, refer to the user manual for the computer or software that you are using.

Here, printing from an SD memory card is described as an example. You can print from other memory cards or USB flash drives (sold separately) with the same steps.

1. Turn on the printer and insert the memory card or the USB flash drive .

2. The following screens are displayed on the LCD monitor of the printer.

3. Press the [ ] button, press the [ ], [ ] buttons to select [Change Settings], and then press the [ ] button.

4. Configure [Date].

Press the [ ], [ ] buttons to select an item, and then press the [ ], [ ] buttons to adjust the settings.

Prominent: select the color of the date printed on the photo automatically

Subtle: print the date on the photo in discreet colors

If necessary, set [Page Layout] or [Borders] and press the [ ] button.

5. Press the [ ], [ ] buttons to select [Select & Print], and then press the [ ] button.

6. The following screen is displayed.

When you set [Date] or [Borders], check the icon on the right side of the LCD monitor to see whether the settings have been applied.

Caution

An icon with () displayed on the bottom right indicates the [Off] setting. If the icon is dimmed, you cannot configure the settings.

*Depending on the layout, you may not be able to print the date.

7. Configure the number of copies for printing.

Press the [ ], [ ] buttons to select an image to print, and press the [ ], [ ] buttons to specify the number of copies.

Total number of sheets to be printed

The number of sheets necessary for printing is displayed.

8. Press the [ ] button to start printing.

9. Below is a finish example (with [Date] and [Prominent] set).

If you set [4-up] for the [P size] paper and set the number of copies that you checked in in step 7 to 3, the material will be printed as shown in the example below.

Caution

To prevent two instances of the date on images already labeled by the camera, select [ Off].

Caution

Turning off SELPHY will restore the default setting of [ Off].
The date added to prints cannot be changed, because it is the date assigned by the camera when the photos were taken.
To change how the date is displayed, adjust [Date Format].

mm/dd/yyyy (default), dd/mm/yyyy, or yyyy/mm/dd

Dates are not printed when [Page Layout] is set to [ Shuffle].
Dates are not printed when [ID Photo] is selected.
Dates may not be printed depending on the aspect ratio of the image, printing orientation, or paper size.
[Subtle] printing may not be available even if [ Subtle] is selected depending on the aspect ratio of the image, printing orientation, or paper size.
