Importing AVCHD video files recorded on the camcorder to the computer using a USB cable

With the software Transfer Utility LE*, you can save to your computer the AVCHD scenes you have recorded.

* Software for AVCHD movies, available as a free download from PIXELA's website.

Caution

To import recorded videos to a computer, it is necessary to download PIXELA Transfer Utility LE from the PIXELA Homepage and install it on your computer. An internet connection is necessary for downloading.
An internet connection is necessary to download the software. For more information on the installation procedure, refer to [Installing the PIXELA Transfer Utility LE Software Used to Transfer the AVCHD Movies You Have Recorded.

Caution

In this section, Windows 7 is used as an example. The on-screen displays and operations may differ depending on the operating system.
The first time you connect the camera to the computer, drivers will be installed, so it may take a few minutes until camera images are accessible.

Connecting the Camcorder to a Computer

1. Camcorder : Power the camcorder using the compact power adapter.

2. Press the [ ] button to set the camcorder to playback mode.

3. Touch [ ].

Camcorder : Open the desired index screen for AVCHD movies.

4. Touch to switch between the (Built-in memory) and the (Memory card).

5. Connect the camcorder to the computer using the () supplied USB cable.

Caution

Windows computers : If the AutoPlay dialog box appears, close it.

If a device selection screen appears, select [Computer].
When the connection is correctly established, [USB Connection] will appear on the screen.

6. Computer : Double-click the icon shown above to display the Transfer Utility LE start screen.

Import Video Files to the Computer using Transfer Utility LE

1. Click [Video file import].

2. Select the memory that contains the video files you want to import.

* The icons will vary depending on the device connected.

The built-in memory of the camcorder.
The SD Memory Card inserted in the camcorder.
Both the built-in memory and SD Memory Card in the camcorder.
A card reader/writer or other devices.

3. Select the method to import, and then click [OK].

Import the video files which have not been saved in the computer

 - Imports the files which have not been imported to the computer yet.

Import all videos

 - Imports all files in the selected memory.

Import video and music files by selecting from the list

 - Imports video files included in the list you created in the camcorder and music files. The groups with checkmark will be imported.

Caution

Imported video files will be saved in the following location by default. You can change the destination to save imported files by clicking [Preferences...] in the [Settings] menu.

Windows 7 / Windows 8

C: Users \(User account name)\(My) Videos \ Transfer Utility LE \ TULE_AVCHD

* Files are saved in '(My) Documents' if '(My) Videos' does not exist.

Windows 10

PC \ Videos \ Transfer Utility LE \ TULE_AVCHD

Mac

Users \ pclab \ Movies \ Transfer Utility LE \ TULE_AVCHD
