*1 The paper can be loaded only in landscape orientation (when the long edges of the paper are parallel to the front side of the printer).
*2 The paper can be loaded only in portrait orientation (when the short edges of the paper are parallel to the front side of the printer).
*3 You can perform automatic 2-sided printing on paper of the following custom paper sizes.
・Short edges 148.0 to 297.0 mm; Long edges 182.0 to 431.8 mm
*4 You can load paper of the following custom paper sizes.
・In case of portrait orientation (when the short edges of the paper are parallel to the front side of the printer):
Short edges 127.0 to 297.0 mm; Long edges 127.0 to 297.0 mm
・In case of landscape orientation (when the long edges of the paper are parallel to the front side of the printer):
Short edges 76.2 to 320.0 mm; Long edges 127.0 to 457.2 mm
* When paper whose short edges are more than 312 mm is used, streaks may appear on both sides of the paper.
*5 You can load paper of the following custom paper sizes.
・In case of portrait orientation (when the short edges of the paper are parallel to the front side of the printer):
Short edges 182.0 to 297.0 mm; Long edges 182.0 to 297.0 mm
・In case of landscape orientation (when the long edges of the paper are parallel to the front side of the printer):

* The paper whose short edges are 279.5 mm or more and long edges are 420.1 mm or more cannot be loaded.
*6 You can load paper of the following custom paper sizes.
・In case of portrait orientation (when the short edges of the paper are parallel to the front side of the printer):
Short edges 148.0 to 297.0 mm; Long edges 210.0 to 297.0 mm
・In case of landscape orientation (when the long edges of the paper are parallel to the front side of the printer):

* The paper whose short edges are 279.5 mm or more and long edges are 420.1 mm or more cannot be loaded.
*7 The long-size paper whose short edges are 210.0 to 297.0 mm and long edges are 457.3 to 1,200.0 mm can be loaded.

- When [High Definition Text] in [Objective] in the [Quality] sheet is selected
- When [High Definition] in [Mode Details] in the [Custom Settings] dialog box in the [Quality] sheet is selected
- When printing paper whose width is more than 300 mm

This printer can print plain paper (60 to 105 g/㎡) of the following sizes.
* The following plain paper is available for automatic 2-sided printing.
* Recycled paper can be used as plain paper.
This printer can print heavy paper (106 to 216 g/㎡) of the following sizes.
* The following heavy paper (106 to 128 g/㎡) is available for automatic 2-sided printing.

Precautions when using transparencies
This printer can print labels of the following sizes.
However, to obtain the optimum print quality, it is recommended to use A4 or Letter size labels.

- Peeled labels or partly used labels
- Coated labels that are easily peeled off from the backing sheet
- Labels with uneven adhesive

When printing on labels
- Taking out one sheet at a time each time it is output
- Loading labels in landscape orientation (when the long edges of the paper are parallel to the front side of the printer) and printing
* If you want to print standard size paper which can be loaded only in portrait orientation (when the short edges of the paper are parallel to the front side of the printer) such as A4 or Letter, register such paper size as a custom paper size as follows.
1. Register a standard paper size as a custom paper size.
2. Select the custom paper size registered in [Output Size] in the [Page Setup] sheet.
3. Make sure that the [Feed Custom Paper Horizontally from the Multi-purpose Tray] check box in the [Paper Source] sheet is cleared.
4. Load paper in landscape orientation and perform printing.
This printer can print coated paper (100 to 220 g/㎡) of the following sizes.
However, to obtain the optimum print quality, it is recommended to use A3, A4 or Letter size coated paper.
* The following coated paper (100 to 160 g/㎡) is available for automatic 2-sided printing.

- Envelopes with adhesive on the surface
- Wrinkled or creased envelopes
