Transferring Images from a Computer to a Memory Card Using a Memory Card Reader (ImageBrowser 6.x)

Solution

This section explains how to transfer images to a memory card using a card reader.

Caution

To perform this operation, [ImageBrowser 6.x] needs to be installed or updated beforehand.
In this section, Mac OS X 10.6 and [ImageBrowser ver6.6] are used as examples to explain the operations. The content displayed on the screen or the operations may differ for Mac OS X versions older than Mac OS X 10.5.
If your computer has a built-in memory card reader, please refer to the instruction manual of your computer.
For details on how to connect a memory card reader to a computer, please refer to the instruction manual of the memory card reader.
Depending on the type of your computer or memory card reader, screen indications and operation procedures may vary slightly.

1. Insert a memory card into the memory card reader.


2. Click the [ImageBrowser] icon in [Dock] (the task bar that is displayed at the bottom of the desktop).


If you do not see the [ImageBrowser] icon in [Dock], click [Go] in the menu bar, select [Applications] -⋗ [Canon Utilities] -⋗ [ImageBrowser], and then click [ImageBrowser] to start the software.


3. [ImageBrowser] starts, and the following window appears.

From the browser area, select the images you want to transfer to the memory card.


4. From the [File] menu, select [Rewrite Image to Memory Card].


5. The following window appears.

Select the memory card to which you want to transfer the images.

Click [OK].


6. The following window appears.

Check the details, and then click [Transfer].


7. The following window appears, and the images are being transferred.


8. After the images are transferred, the following window appears.

Click [OK].
