Join Canon Collective Ambassador, Scott Stramyk, for an introduction to portrait photography. This session is intended for you to bring your family down to the park, as we set up a shoot full of fun and candid portraits while the kids play in the park.
This is an introductory event to provide you with the foundations to go away and shoot some candid portraits in natural light. Head outside, and all you need is your camera and subject. During this session we will cover lens selection and semi automatic exposure modes, so you can focus on capturing the moment rather than getting too caught up in balancing exposures. We will also discuss using natural light, nailing your focus even when there’s lots of movement and practice some introductory compositional techniques.
Please note: Please note only those who RSVP will be registered as Canon Collective participants and you will be required to bring your own little person to photograph, no models or subjects will be provided by Canon. We will be outside in the park, so don’t forget hats, sunscreen, enclosed shoes and any snacks your little person might enjoy while we cover the introductory photography talk. Feel free to also bring some fun along, perhaps a favorite toy, a ball or some bubbles.
