Inky’s Print ‘n’ Copy and Canon

Multifunction

Inky’s is a small operation, employing a staff of seven employees, including manager Jonathan Hawkins. According to Hawkins, this further enhances the need for reliable, quick printing equipment to maintain productivity and increase business.

According to Hawkins, after installing the imagePRESS C7010VP, Inky’s output has grown tremendously, allowing the company to easily manage their current accounts, acquire new business and bring projects back inhouse.

"We looked at the imagePRESS C7010VP and it fit exactly what we were looking for... the ability to use conventional gloss offset stocks as well as textured paper and carded stocks also was a big plus. We’ve also taken on a lot of other work, producing what we used to outsource at offset-quality."

To further enhance the services offered to the university community it looked to Canon.

As most printers will agree, in today’s competitive market static customer retention is not an ideal state, they need to be adding value to customers by exploring new opportunities with them and growing the business relationship. This is a two-way street in that it brings in the dollars, but also gives customers fresh new print items and in some cases reduces their need for different print suppliers.

imagePRESS users can run a wide variety of digital and offset stocks through their presses, allowing them to offer new types of output, both corporate and creative. Additional services such as web-to-print also provide printers with simple, quick re-ordering options for their customers.

Large Format Printer

My experience with the Canon iPF6100 professional photographic printer

One of the first things I instantly liked with the iPF6100 is the motorised roll feed. The majority of my prints are done on 24-inch rolls and while this feature may seem trivial, in practice the “put-the-paper-in-and-forget-it” is a huge time saver and I wouldn’t expect less from my next printer.
