To help us actively achieve our environmental goals, Canon New Zealand has joined forces with Toner Recycling Centre to develop a program to collect and  recycle laser and inkjet cartridges.

If you would like to see if you are eligible or would like to partake in this programme please call Customer Care on 0800 222 666(2 CANON). The Customer Care representative will ask you a few questions to ensure you meet the criteria to be issued with a Toner Recycle box. The Customer Care representative will call or e-mail TRC to set up an account for you to ensure your box is delivered to the correct address. Once the box is almost full, you will call TRC on the 0800 number on the box and they will issue you with a job number and arrange a courier to come out and collect the box or deliver a new empty box.

Alternatively, if you would like to drop your toner off at a local Canon Branch or at participating outlets, then Canon will ensure the recycling of this product. These returned cartridges will be sent to the Toner Recycle Centre, where they are sorted and processed, depending on the types of materials they contain. What can't be remanufactured by Canon will be recycled. Everything from the plastics, aluminium, steel, toner powder and even the ink from inkjet cartridges is re-used or recycled.
