Byteback
Byteback is a pilot end of life take back scheme for IT equipment. Canon participates in the Byteback program as part of the Australian Information Industry Association and in partnership with Sustainability Victoria. This program will form the basis of a national e-waste collection scheme when legislation is passed to ensure a level playing field.
Cartridges 4 Planet Ark
Canon is proud to be a founding partner of 'Cartridges 4 Planet Ark' - a nationwide campaign designed to recycle laser and inkjet cartridges and thus reduce the amount of cartridges that end up in landfill.
Toner Recycling Centre
Canon New Zealand has partnered with the Toner Recycling Centre to collect used toner cartridges.

Environmental Choice is the official environmental labelling program in New Zealand. Initiated and endorsed by the New Zealand Government, Environmental Choice recognises the genuine moves made by manufacturers to reduce the environmental impacts of their products and provides a credible and independent guide for consumers who want to purchase products that are better for the environment.

eDay is a community initiative in New Zealand designed to raise awareness of the benefits of recycling computers and the hazardous nature of electronic waste (e-waste), while offering an easy way for households and schools to dispose of old computers and mobile phones in an environmentally sustainable manner.
