Improved Canon Professional Services scheme offers enhanced support to professional photographers

Canon Australia has announced the launch of its new, enhanced after-sales support system for professional photographers* - the Canon Professional Services (CPS) program. The new system, run by a dedicated team at Canon, provides better benefits to existing CPS members and introduces a ‘Silver’ membership level for EOS 5-series users, so that they too can enjoy the support.

Re-designed following extensive consultation with the CPS community, the new program will offer more value and benefits to qualifying professional photographers nationally. The re-launched CPS introduces two levels of membership (Gold and Silver), allowing a greater number of professional photographers to qualify for the benefits of CPS support. New members will be able to apply via a more straightforward application process.

Key benefits and changes:

  • Increased discounts: Gold members receive an increased discount on Canon Customer Care service labour (30%) and now also a 30% discount on genuine Canon parts.
  • More photographers qualify: The introduction of a Silver membership means professional photographers shooting with EOS 5-series models are now supported under the program.
  • Simpler equipment registration process: equipment is now easily registered and updated using a new online system.
  • More streamlined service across national CPS centres: CPS members’ accounts and equipment details can be instantly accessed at any of the national CPS centres and agencies.

“Canon Professional Services has been looking after professional photographers for more than a decade and we are excited to be providing more tailored support for our members, while at the same time offering this to a wider group of professional users,” said Alan Brightman, Professional Imaging Manager, Canon Australia. “We listen to professional photographers and this is just the beginning. Canon will continue working to provide even more comprehensive and valuable services to support the industry.”
