Canon offers small businesses a boost at tax time

All companies that purchase a participating Canon Laser printer between 22 April and 31 July can enter the draw for a chance to win $25,000 cash to put towards business development. The winner will also be invited to lunch with finance expert David Koch and receive a 1-on-1 consultation session with a team of business experts from Kochie's Business Builders.

"A new tax year marks a great time for business owners to focus on their company's development," said Alyson Barden, Brand Manager, Consumer Imaging Product Group, Canon Australia. "Whether it's an upgrade in business equipment, implementing new strategies, or putting together a marketing plan, $25,000 combined with tailored advice could make a big difference to small and mid-sized businesses."

In addition to the chance to win a business upgrade, everyone who purchases a participating Canon Laser printer during the promotional period is eligible to receive series one and two of the Kochie's Business Builders TV Program on DVD. Kochie's Business Builders is Australia's top TV show for small businesses and helps companies tackle challenges unique to the small business market, from getting started to managing growth and staying innovative.

Canon's range of Laser printers includes single and multifunction devices that offer small and mid-sized businesses a variety of printing options. Each printer model provides quick, top-quality prints while taking into account small office spaces and budgets.

Canon has also announced the winner of its recent Back to Work promotion, which also offered a prize of $25,000 and expert advice from Kochie's Business Builders. The winning business, Southern Suburbs Radiator Service (SSRS), specialises in repairing and replacing radiators for industrial, agricultural and automotive applications. SSRS was entered in the draw when the company purchased a new Canon imageCLASS MF4350d, a Laser multifunction printer, scanner, fax and copier.

SSRS has not made a final decision on what aspect of the business the prize money will be put towards, but owners Kyle and Fred Ogden are considering purchasing new office equipment.

Kyle Ogden commented: "We're thrilled to have won Canon's Back to Work promotion. We're still surprised by our good luck and haven't decided yet how we'll spend the prize money, although we are very pleased with the printer we bought and are thinking of buying more equipment from Canon to update our office. We're very excited to upgrade our business and are looking forward to meeting David Koch and the Business Builders team."
